    • Coca-Cola Inc. (NYSE: KO) plans to acquire the operations of it largest North American bottler in a move to gain more control of the company’s manufacturing and distribution that is similar to the recent strategy of rival PepsiCo Inc. (NYSE: PEP).

      In a substantially cashless transaction, Coca-Cola will acquire Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: CCE) entire North American business, which consists of approximately 75 percent of U.S. bottler-delivered volume and almost 100 percent of Canadian bottler-delivered volume.
